Improving your image means increasing your self-esteem and feeling beautiful, fit and charming.
For about 20 years I let my image not be the way I wanted it so that the people around me felt more at ease and I didn't receive criticism. However, this led me to gain weight, develop eating disorders and lack self-confidence.
When 3 years ago I decided to embark on a journey of rediscovering myself, everything changed.
My name is Alice Veneziani and I am the founder and designer of the homonymous independent luxury brand Made in Italy. I create clothes and accessories for women who seek beauty and limited editions, which are also unique, classy, elegant and fashionable, made following ethics and sustainability in materials and workmanship.
Starting my own clothing brand changed my life. Being immersed in beauty, elegance and class every day, I understood that the time had come for me to liberate my most authentic, sensual and feminine self and, therefore, elevate my image.
To do this I took these 4 fundamental steps that, in my opinion, every woman should follow to increase their self-esteem and self-confidence.
1. Wear a pair of heels
It may seem banal, but heels are the shoes for women that will immediately make you more elegant and refined. Did you know they were invented for men?
Luckily they have also arrived for us women (I couldn't live without them!).
Heels, even if low, will improve your posture, make you stand straighter and consequently increase your self-esteem. Have you ever tried to see how your emotions change when you have bad posture, such as when you are hunched over, since you have a straight back and a high chin?
Everything seems easier for you, you manage to conquer the world, you are successful and your life takes on a much more positive aspect!
That's the power of heels. My favorite heels are divided into 3 categories:
1. Stilettos

I classify this wonderful pair of Louboutins in the category of stiletto heels which I find perfect for all formal occasions such as a work day, a lunch or a formal party.
The height of the heel can vary greatly, for a more elegant and classy look stay between 8-10cm, for a more sensual look aim for 11-12cm.
2. The Slingbacks

Slingbacks are perfect for the day, for a walk or for a context that is not too formal but still refined. They are extremely elegant and comfortable shoes, especially with a heel between 5-10cm.
I recommend combining them with a monochromatic look to be more classy, or breaking up the colors for a more feminine look.
3. Heeled sandals

In my opinion, heeled sandals are among the most comfortable and versatile heels. Perfect for the spring and summer seasons, there are truly many models.
Opt for a nude sandal to lengthen and slim your leg, while choose a jewel sandal for a very special outfit.
2. Invest in quality clothing
We Italians are very good at understanding when a garment is of quality, even from a distance. But how do you measure the quality of a garment?
Here too there are 3 essential points to underline:
1. The fabrics
The best fabrics are natural ones (such as wool, cotton, silk, linen, alpaca...) or semi-natural ones such as Tencel™ Lyocell. The best choice would be to purchase natural and semi-natural fabrics certified for environmental sustainability. There are numerous certifications that exclude dyes that are toxic to humans and the environment, poor working conditions, and even animal abuse.
Since I was little I have always had a great education in sustainability and non-cruelty towards animals. This is why all the fabrics you find in my collections are certified from an environmental and animal point of view, so as to combine luxury and an ethical and vegan reality.
The Por Una Cabeza dress is made of a wonderful viscose satin coming from remnants of fabrics of high fashion brands, so as to put it back into circulation giving it a new luxurious life.
All day dresses in the Giuseppina collection are made of Tencel™ Lyocell, the most sustainable viscose in the world, certified globally for its extreme sustainability and refinement.
The exclusive "Santa Maria" dress is also made with leftover fabrics, in this case in a very fresh pure cotton jersey. It falls divinely and highlights all your shapes in the best way.
2. The packaging
The term packaging refers to the way in which the clothing items were produced, the so-called "seams". Threads coming out, holes in the hem, tears, crooked stitching... these are all signs of low quality packaging and poor attention to detail.
This low quality will result in the chosen dress not lasting as long as hoped. It's common to see women buying clothes online that don't even last an hour without breaking (I saw a video like this just a few hours ago), these are all signs of poor quality.
All our dresses are made not only at the time of order, so as to guarantee maximum attention and attention to detail, but are also made by expert seamstresses with more than 20 years of experience.
3. The finishing touches
Is the hem breaking? Do the sleeves fall off? Do the seams of the shirt turn? All these details denote poor quality finishing.

Why is an haute couture dress so particular and unique?
Everything lies in the finishing of the dress, in the interior, in the construction of the garment itself. There are some elements such as bias tapes, grosgrain ribbons or internal corsets, which allow the dress to last over time, greater comfort and exceptional quality.
In every dress in my collections I always add high fashion details to ensure that each garment can last over time and be passed down from mother to daughter.
